Started with an adventure of a group of individuals who were trekking in Satpuda Mountain ranges. They were taken aback when they reached a spot where they met Korku adiwasi tribe.
This was a moment of their self realization which changed their definition of misery which seemed more like a myth.
This led to founding of "Melghat Mitra".
An organization which is committed in helping the Korku tribe of Melghat.
Started with handful of volunteers and now spreading its tentacles amongst the nations youth.
Presently, it was by participation of few energetic youth of Government Medical College, we are now acknowledged partners of this ever growing family.
All we know of is Shinning INDIA, how true it is?
We think we have all the luxuries here existing in India, but on introspection we learn that India comes in shades of colour.
We are blinded by the brighter side that we fail to see what lies on the darker side.
Today in our materialistic world where competition is the key to success, during this race towards success, we forget about those large unprivileged section of the society.
They too share with us the burning desire to succeed, but being so remote they are simply left out of the race before they enter one.
We shall describe life of these individuals who too deserve the same fundamental right as we do.
Being medicos we shall speak about their right to health.
Melghat Mitra is an organization dedicated to salvage them from this trench of unawareness.
Students of GMC Miraj have joined hands for betterment of India.
We encourage students of GMC Miraj to join this movement started in July2006 by an initative of 14 students, it was with their participation that we have been opened up to newer ideas.
